ʔaq̓am Marches Forward in the Land Code Process

Chief, Council and the official verifier have approved the next steps in the Land Code process.  Council is excited to let the Community speak for themselves come vote day.  Be sure you are educated on the details and take a look at the Verified Land Code!

Questions, consultation and visits are all welcome; contact Bonnie Harvey to arrange.  Bonnie is prepared to come to your home and sit down with groups to present on the details.

Denni Clement & Troy Sebastian Represent ʔaq'am at Lieutenant Governor Meeting

ʔaq̓am Community Members, Denni Clement & Troy Sebastian represented our Community proudly after Denni was invited to the Lieutenant Governor's home to have tea and autograph her copy of our Community's Strategic Plan.  Denni was the project manager in the creation of our Plan and we are proud of the work she took on for our Community.  Way to go Denni and Troy, we are all so proud of you!

Robert Williams wins "Full Circle Award" for Tipi Mountain Native Plants

Councillor Corrie Walkley and Becky Pelkonen, Director of Economic Development honoured Stubby Williams and the Tipi Mountain Native Plants team on behalf of Chief & Council on November 14, 2013. Stubby and his company won the "Full Circle Award" from the Society for Ecological Restoration. To learn more about this prestigious award, see here.
