The “Healing Our Spirit,” HIV Summit honors both those who have passed and those who continue to walk with us. We remember and hold close the lives of Chris Williams, Scotty Teneese, and Ernie Allen while also holding space for and hearing the voices of those living with HIV today.
Led by Ktunaxa community members, alongside family and friends, creating a space for connection, reflection, and healing — bringing together remembrance, strength, and lived experience.
Throughout the 2 days, participants will experience a range of impactful presentations and activities, including:
- Insights from the Medical Officer and the IHA HON Team on stigma, support, and treatment pathways
- Presentations from ANKORS and Chee Mamuk’s “Around the Kitchen Table”
- Education sessions on HIV, Hepatitis, Hep C, STIs, and reducing risks associated with substance use
- Ktunaxa community breakout groups focused on identifying the unique needs of each community
Cultural supports will be available throughout the 2 days, including smudging, brushing, and guidance led by Chris Luke Sr. and Inismi, ensuring a safe and supportive setting for all.
In the evening of April 29th, join us for a shared dinner followed by Healing Circles, led by Chris Luke Sr. and Inismi Luke — a time to come together, reflect, and support one another in a meaningful way.
This is more than an event — it’s a space for learning, healing, and honoring. All are welcome. Come be part of this important day.
