On Thursday, June 5, 2025, the Kootenay Rafting Company (KRC) and ʔaq̓am water stewards will be hosting a rafting event on the ʔaq̓am ʔa·kinmituk (St. Mary’s River). Participants will embark on a rafting journey from Marysville and conclude at Riverside. Please be aware that community vehicles will be stationed at Riverside between 3:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., and the KRC blue bus will be present to transport rafters at 3:30 p.m. This event has been organized for ʔaq̓amnik̓ participants, so there is no cause for concern if you observe individuals at the community recreation site. Feel free to cheer on the rafters if you see them in action!
