From April 24 onwards, there will be regular logging truck traffic along Upper Mission Road, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Logging trucks will haul wood in both directions on Upper Mission Rd, which extends from the Gravel Pit Rd. These trucks have limited visibility—do not pass them, as they cannot see you! When a logging truck is approaching, please find a safe area to pull over. ʔaq̓am is working with the Ministry of Transportation on Pullout Locations.
If ʔaq̓amnik will be driving on Upper Mission Road frequently, the Lands Department highly recommends having a radio within the vehicle.
Programmed handheld radios will be available at the reception desk at 7470 Mission Rd for the duration of the project. Logging truck traffic will be on Radio Channel RR-1.
