We are pleased to welcome three new summer students to the ʔaq̓am Community Administration. Please join us in extending a warm welcome and supporting them as they take on their new roles.
Cassidy has joined the Governance Department as the Youth Leadership and Community Engagement Coordinator. Cassidy is passionate about working with youth and community programs and will be returning to the University of Calgary this fall to continue pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Sociology.
Tayden is working as a Junior Watershed Guardian, also in the Governance Department. Tayden will be focused on monitoring and collecting data to support habitat enhancement efforts in Cherry and Mather Creeks. In the fall, Tayden will be entering Grade 10 at Mount Baker Secondary School.
Deshawn has joined the Facilities Department as a Maintenance Worker. Deshawn will be working closely with the Facilities team to assist with the maintenance of ʔaq̓am buildings and grounds. This fall, Deshawn will be going into Grade 11 at Mount Baker Secondary School.
We are excited to have Cassidy, Tayden, and Deshawn with us for the summer and look forward to the contributions they will make. Please help make their experience positive and welcoming.
