What: Dallas Brodie is an MLA from the Lower Mainland, Leader of OneBC, and known residential school denialist. She is hosting a speaking engagement in Creston, BC on February 12th. We are calling to gather Ktunaxanin̓tik and allies to peacefully show up in an act of solidarity for truth, survivors and their families, and to stand together for our communities.
This is a peaceful protest and our safety and well-being is paramount.
We encourage each person to engage in a way that feels right for them, to rise above hate and protect the vulnerable members of our communities. Please do not bring young children.
Information for ʔaq̓amnik̓:
- We are scheduled to gather at the Language and Culture Centre at 3 pm (mst) at which time we will organize for the bus and personal vehicles
- We will convoy to Yaqan Nuʔkiy LKB Complex for dinner hosted by the community
What to bring:
- Wear orange
- Bring flags and/or hand drums
- Bring a camp chair (particularly for Elders)
- Dress for the weather as this is an evening event held outdoors so it will be cold
- Water and snacks will be provided
