Wuʔunaⱡa River Rafting Trip registration now open

The ʔaq̓am community is excited to invite ʔaq̓am youth and families to take part in the Wuʔunaⱡa River Rafting Trip, a unique opportunity to connect with the land, water, and each other through guided river experiences this spring.

Taking place over four Thursdays—May 21, May 28, June 4, and June 11, 2026—this free program offers participants aged 10 and up the chance to travel along the river with professional guides while learning and sharing in Ktunaxa knowledge and culture. Each trip includes a full safety briefing, all necessary equipment, and light meals, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all.

More than just a rafting trip, Wuʔunaⱡa is about strengthening community, building confidence, and reconnecting with the natural world in a meaningful way. Participants will experience the river as a place of learning, laughter, and cultural connection.

Registration is required, space is limited to 16 spots. Community members are encouraged to sign up early to be part of this memorable journey.
